Aishwarya Rai is missing from the promos Hollywood movie The Pink Panther 2.
Aishwarya is not only missing from the film's first theatrical promo but also the movie posters. In the first promo for the film, Steve Martin appears as Inspector Clouseau, unsuccessfully trying to purchase a ticket to see a movie at an American theatre.

Denied a ticket due to a sold-out show, he sneaks into the back and "cuts" through the movie screen. On seeing that he is exposed, he tries to repair the screen using duct tape.

As his shadow moves across the "back" of the screen, the Pink Panther's shadow follows him. The trailer was posted in the official website, but was taken off.

The buzz is that Ash's role has been considerably chopped off from the film. A source reveals, "There has been considerable delay in the film's release. Earlier this year, the writer's strike hampered the film's progress.

Also, the studio executives are fighting a battle against time to draw a campaign strategy that does justice to the film.

Between all this, it will be interesting to see how much of Ash's role is retained and if she will play any part in the film's promotion or not."
